Robbers steal Picasso prints in Sao Paolo

Russian Art Sales Still Growing

LONDON - Nine straight years of economic growth in Russia has expanded the pool of buyers for the country's art, pushing up Sotheby's sales for the category 31-fold since 2000.Forty Five million sold last night at Sotheby's auction in London with 71% of buyers being Russian, Ukrainian, while 26% were from Europe... more >>

Art sales have never been hotter for galleries, auction houses and art fairs throughout the world. It is estimated to be an industry worth over $25 billion a year. But does quality art sell on the Internet?While one group dismisses the Internet, a stance which they will defend till the end. A common opinion being that no one will buy a painting without seeing it first.
